Moscow insists on involvement in Nord Stream investigation

MOSCOW, Oct 5 (PRIME) -- Moscow insists on its and Germany’s participation an international investigation of the Nord Steam pipeline sabotage, Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Vershinin said in a news conference on Wednesday.

“It is understandable that no decisions were made (at a September 30 meeting of the U.N. Security Council), but a joint opinion was voiced that it was a sabotage and that an investigation is necessary,” he said.

“We support that because real investigation should be done with Russia’s participation, obviously. It is important to involve Germany in the investigation.”
